Meaning A corruption of Rickword. A Sussex family in the 18th century wrote themslves Record, alias Rickword. This is confirmed by the registers of St. Mary Aldermary, London, where Record, Rickecord, and Rikeworth are entries that seem to belong to one and the same family.
