Last Name ELLISON

Summary/Contribute

Meaning The son of Ellis. Ellison may originate from the English form Elis, thus Elis-son, or from the old French form Elie, thus Elie-son. This name was wonderfully popularized throughout Western Europe by the Crusaders. Elene was very popular too. Elynson, of necessity, would become Ellison.
